Facebook Marketplace Partner Listings: What Sellers Should Know About Discovery Versus Checkout

Partner listings can widen discovery inside Facebook Marketplace, but merchants need to understand where the transaction, support and policy obligations actually sit.

Meta announced changes to Facebook Marketplace that include partner inventory and clearer information around shipped orders. For sellers, the key distinction is between where a shopper discovers an item and where the transaction is completed.

Map the customer journey

Before joining a partner-led distribution path, trace the journey from product card to checkout, order confirmation, tracking, return and support contact. Make sure product price, shipping cost and delivery promise are consistent at every stage.

Keep the merchant record clean

Use the same practical controls you would use for any syndicated catalog: current availability, accurate product condition, approved imagery and a clear owner for support exceptions. More discovery does not compensate for an unreliable post-purchase experience.
